Tires are the only thing between your vehicle and the road — true for a daily commuter, just as true for an 80,000-pound rig. At Complete Brake Service, we've been keeping Columbus drivers and fleet operators rolling since 1986. Our shop is built for the work: a large lot, full bays, equipment for any wheel size from passenger sedans to 24.5" commercial wheels, and same-day inventory access on most popular sizes when we don't have what you need on the rack.
Whether you're shopping for new tires, addressing a slow leak, or keeping a fleet on schedule, we'll help you get the right tire on the right vehicle without overselling you on what you don't need.

Schedule a Service Call (614) 221-4888Our shop is sized and equipped for everything from a compact sedan up through 24.5" commercial wheels. Most general repair shops can't take heavy-duty tire work. We can, and we do it every day.
If we don't have your size on the rack, we can usually get it the same day. No long waits, no "we'll order it and call you next week."
If your existing tires have life left, we'll tell you. If you only need two replaced instead of four, we'll tell you that too. We're after long-term customers, not single transactions.
Tires don't wear in isolation. We check alignment, suspension, and pressure when you come in for tires — small fixes that can double the life of your new set.
The questions Columbus drivers and fleet operators ask us most.
Replace your tires when the tread depth reaches 2/32" (the legal minimum for passenger vehicles in Ohio), when you see sidewall damage like bulges or cuts, when wear is severely uneven across the tire, or when the tires are more than six years old regardless of tread. The four-digit DOT date code on the sidewall tells you the manufacture week and year.
Every 5,000 to 7,500 miles for most vehicles, or roughly every other oil change. Rotation evens out wear across all four tires, extends overall tire life, and helps maintain balanced handling. AWD and 4WD vehicles especially benefit from regular rotation.
Not always — but it depends on your vehicle and the condition of the existing tires. On front-wheel-drive cars with good remaining tread on the back tires, you can often replace just two. On AWD or 4WD vehicles, mismatched tire diameters can damage the drivetrain, so replacing all four is usually the right call. We'll measure your existing tread and give you a clear answer for your specific situation.
Yes. We service steer, drive, and trailer-position tires on semi-trucks, dump trucks, diesel pickups, and commercial trailers. Our shop is sized and equipped for 22.5" and 24.5" commercial wheels — equipment most general repair shops don't have.
Federal DOT regulations require a minimum tread depth of 4/32" on steer-axle tires and 2/32" on all other tire positions for commercial vehicles. Tires below those depths are out-of-service violations at a roadside inspection. We perform DOT-compliant tire inspections and can keep fleet vehicles ahead of the line.
Yes — and quickly. Even a small misalignment can shave thousands of miles off a tire's usable life and cause uneven wear that can't be reversed. That's why we check alignment when you come in for tires. The cost of an alignment is almost always far less than the cost of premature tire replacement.
Most tread-area punctures from nails or screws can be safely repaired with a plug-and-patch combination, as long as the tire still has good tread and the puncture is in the repairable area. Sidewall damage, large punctures, or punctures very close to the shoulder usually require replacement. Bring it in and we'll inspect it — repair if we can, replace only if we have to.
We stock common sizes on the rack, and for sizes we don't keep on hand we have same-day inventory access through our suppliers. In most cases you won't be waiting more than a day for the tire you need — often less. Schedule ahead and we'll have your tires ready when you arrive.
